Adoption Process

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, first, fill out the adoption form found under the "Pets" Tab.
Once your application has been received by W.O.W Dog Rescue, your application will go into that specific dogs file until the team sits down and reviews all the applications. This is normally with in a 5 day span.
If you are chosen for that dog, you will get a call from a team member of W.O.W dog rescue. We will give you the meet up place address, and pertinent information.
If you have any other pets already living in your home, you will be asked to bring them along for the meet up. If dog(s) get along, and you fall in love, you can adopt at that time.
You will then pay the adoption fee. This fee covers spay and neutering, age appropriate vaccinations and a microchip insertion.

Adoption Expectations

When you adopt an animal from W.O.W Dog Rescue, you agree to provide a certain quality of life for your pet. W.O.W takes the welfare of our animals very seriously. Anyone considering adopting an animal must understand that this is not a decision to be made lightly or on an emotional whim. Adopters must understand the expectations we have of families who will adopt our pets:
When you adopt your pet, you are expected to care for that pet for the remainder of his or her life. Consider it a family member.
Adopters will be expected to pay for any medical issues that arise after the adoption process as well as any medical issues.
W.O.W does not provide monthly heartworm medication for adopting families. Once the adoption is finalized, you must agree to provide all regular medication and health care for your pet. It is a choice that you will need to make if you want to get this dog on heartworm medication. As a Rescue, we believe it would be the best for the pet, but we are not able to do this with every dog that comes in our Rescue due to funding purposes.
If, for any reason, you are no longer able to care for your dog, W.O.W will take the dog back. You will need to allow us time to have a Foster home take the dog in, OR you can continue to hold it, while we get the dog back up on the website for a new adoptive family to adopt. If you hold it, we will ask you to give us a bio on the dog’s history /shot record, along with 5 current photos.
When you agree to adopt an animal, you should also agree to take the dog the same day the adoption goes through, OR pay a $5.00 a day boarding fee for the foster to continue to hold the dog until the agreed date.
