Don't miss out on Mia Jean by emailing us to see if she is still available.
(if she is adopted, we make the change right away on our website)
Because we all work, it isn't always easy for us to get back to you timely,
so you can often miss out if your application is not in when we review them..
Your application stays with us for 90 days, so if you miss out on this one..
keep looking, we want you to rescue a dog!!
(PS: We cannot email or call every applicant to tell you that you were not chosen.
When the dog is marked "pending" on our website, it means we have
picked someone, but they have not met up yet with the dog. It may or may not work out.
Not until they are marked "adopted", are they actually gone, so please apply.)
**Mia was adopted in June 2019, and is coming back to us
due to major health reasons the owner has.
She has been very much loved, and
is a wonderful girl.
Mia Jean was "supposedly" a stray in a park,
with another dog that we have since named Gerald.
We picked up the dogs at a home of a person that claims he
found them in a park, and they needed to be gone with in a few hours.
Mia Jean had a very knotted up fur coat, and she was taken in to get
her beauty parlor treatment soon after that.
She is unsure of you at 1st, but makes up well and then she is your best friend.
Mia is approx 15 lbs. We are guessing her age to be at 3 yrs old.
We also know she is a poodle mix. (Not sure of the mix but she isn't a shedder)
Mia needs a nice intro to other dogs and then she's fine with them. We are
unsure about cats because there are none around in the fosters home.
She as been around children 11-12 yrs old, and she took a day to
warm up with them, and then she was fine. Loud noises in the home used
to startle her, but she is fine with them now.
(Best if with adults only because we think that is what she is used to).
She loves her foster (Male) and it didn't take long for her to bond with him.
She is potty-trained and did it very easily. She stands by the door when she
needs out. AND she has learned to ring sleigh bells at the door when
she needs to go out for potty.
She prefers to hang out with her people. Loud noises in the home used to startle her,
but she is fine with them now. She is doing much better going for walks and has
walkers take her out regularly for them.
Squeaky toys & balls are something she enjoys playing with, and an occasional
sandal/shoe if it's laying around. (So far she hasn't chewed any up). She will chew up
fabric toys, so KONG wins with toys. She responds great with Click and treat training.
Even though Mia is a bigger girl, she really likes to cuddle on the couch,
sit on your lap, or at least touching you at ALL times..
She is a licker and LOVES any attention you give her. Her favorite thing to
do is "be with her human".
Our happy home for Mia would be a place that has no other dogs, so she can
have ALL the attention...and no small children, just because of her uncertainty.
Mia Jean is current on all her immunizations shots,
Rabies shot, micro-chipped and is spay.
Mia Jeans adoption fee is set at $250.00
